Slovenian term or phrase: eksposit
I need help translating the term ‘eksposit’ from Slovenian into English. The source document contains a list of centuries old, Roman Catholic, church records for a particular parish. The dictionary gives: EKSPOSIT= duhovnik, ki službuje na ekspozituri (manjši enoti cerkve).
Does anyone know the equivalent church position in English?
Thanks

curate
Explanation:
I think this might be the word you are looking for. Although the Slovenian translation of "curate" is "kurat", in English. the word is used to refer to a priest who assists the main parish priest and whose duties may also include saying mass at more remote branches of the main church.

Thank you. I believe ‘curate’ will fit my needs nicely. There are variations in how different English speaking nations and Christian religions define the term, but the main point is that readers will understand that it is a clerical position.
