entailed state/ family state Explanation: En 1528 don Pedro había fundado el **mayorazgo** del marquesado de Villafranca recibido de su mujer María Osorio Pimentel ... Patricia, Del diccionario de derecho, economía y política de Ramon LaCasa Navarro e Isidro Diaz de Bustamante que define “mayorazgo” como: “eldest son”, “family estate”; “entailed state”; “right of primogeniture”. Igualmente el diccionario de términos jurídicos de Enrique Alcaraz Varo y Brian Hughes como “Right of primogeniture”; “entailed estate”; “entailment”. Also, descendants of landowners could turn to the challenge of earning even greater wealth through their own efforts, and inheritance of large holdings was no longer the major path to wealth. Abolition of entail and primogeniture was part of a general reform movement that included the grant to married women of the right to control their own property and the disestablishment of churches. http://www.online-literature.com/adam_smith/wealth_nations/1... What should read here is ENTAILED ESTATE AND FAMILY ESTATE should I not have been sleepwalking yesterday night. Sorry. |
