Spanish term or phrase: ¡puntuación! (signos de admiración)
Dear friends,

Some time ago I asked on Proz, the translation of some sentences into Spanish.

These are the sentences:

Ama la vida!
Amemos a los animales y dejemos de torturar a los toros!

The problem is that I don't know, whether the punctuation is correct.

Somebody told me that the sentences should be:

¡Ama la vida!
¡Amemos a los animales y dejemos de torturar a los toros!

How is correct? With or without "¡" at the beginning?

Thank you for your help!
Radu
¡Amo a la vida!
Explanation:
Hola Radu,
En español se usa el signo de admiración al principio y al final si es una frase de exclamación.
¡Buena suerte y saludos del Oso! ¶:^)

En español se utilizan los signos de admiración al principio y al final de las oraciones. (aunque yo no lo haga aquí).
¡¡¡¡¡¡Mucha suerte!!!!! (sería la forma correcta de escribirlo).

punctuation
¡Ama la vida!

Explanation:
¡....! is the correct version in Spanish. The thing is nowadays the use of the exclamation and question marks just at the end of the sentence is becoming increasingly common (at least, in Argentina). A question of economy, I guess.
