Las dos tareas fundamentales que los fabricantes deben realizar, en el marco
de la Directiva, para el marcado CE son:
- Ensayos iniciales de tipo de los productos –EIT-.
- Tener implantado un sistema de control de producción de la fábrica –CPF-.
Como veremos a continuación, según el sistema de evaluación de la conformidad que se le asigna a cada producto, dichas tareas serán evaluadas por organismos notificados y/o realizadas por el propio fabricante, lo cual dará lugar a que la documentación acreditativa del marcado CE sea diferente o tenga sus particularidades.
Los organismos notificados que actuarán para estos productos serán:
- Organismos de certificación (del control de producción en fábrica).
- Laboratorios de ensayo (que realizarán los ensayos iniciales de tipo de los
productos).
