Personally, in your context I would use "recording" or "posting".

  -> You are right, but since Sherry's context already mentions "contable" I suggested posting/recording as an intermediate solution. in order to avoid saying "accounting" and capitalization" together. It's her ball game, now.

The activation in this isolated context may not be a term of art at all and have nothing to do with capitalisation of tax credits or releifs.
