The expression "relación de cuenta corriente" refers to a form of contractual relationship between the bank and the account holder.
Here is an extract from some study notes for the "oposición" for notaries and registrars:
"2- LA RELACION DE CUENTA CORRIENTE.
Es una modalidad del contrato de cuenta corriente, su especialidad radica en q una de las partes es un banco y q las remesas derivan de operaciones bancarias.
Se puede definir como un contrato de gestión en virtud del cual el banco se compromete a realizar por cuenta de sus clientes cuantas operaciones son inherentes al servicio de la caja y realizando las correspondientes anotaciones contables."
