Explanation:
When changes occur, the new amount has to be restated. This term is also used in inflation accounting. Refer to Boletin B-10 of Accounting Principles Generally Accepted in Mexico.

The verb \"to restate\" in inflation accounting really amounts to \"adjusting for inflation\". \"To update\" gives me the impression of something that would work better in in something computer terminology.
