Spanish term or phrase: troqueles
This is in a website for a Spanish company that does point of sale advertising (like cardboard display stands and table top stands for products) and packaging. According to the Oxford Spanish to English dictionary, un troquel is a "die", but I don't see how that fits with this context:

XXX ofrece la posibilidad mediante un estudio previo sin coste, de reducir costes a partir de unificar troqueles, materiales, manipulados o mejorar las características de los packs

And later, when listing what they provide the customer:

Planos de troqueles con pruebas.

Explanation:
Hay varios tipos de troqueles... para crear piezas plegables de cartón o papel se usan tanto troqueles de corte como de pliegue.

Lisa: yeah, it certainly is used in the print industry. I’ve worked as a designer for over 8 years and have ordered custom dies for folders and business cards every now and then :)
The technique is also used to manufacture boxes, displays, etc...

Notes to answerer
Asker: I thought a die was only for forming metal, but I'm seeing lots of Google hits for die-cut cardboard...I think you're right Ángel, but I'll wait a little longer til all the votes are in...

agree  Tara Orzolek: Ángel is absolutely right. For all kinds of cardboard packaging - for breakfast cereal, for example - you use a die/troquel. A die is simply a mechanized way to cut a material in a production process.
