agree  bigedsenior: State - yes. With or w/out the hyphen is unimportant, it is a matter of style.

agree  Altogringo: but suggest status could replace state for a more formal tone to a section heading IMO.//Perhaps, so I have permanent resident state and not permanent resident status? I think status is commonly used for a snapshot/moment in time. Maybe US/UK difference?
