Spanish term or phrase: engranaje de potencia del eje de torre
From a Venezuelan aviation accident report, in a list of the damages to the aircraft engine:

"Los dientes del engranaje de potencia del eje de torre tienen daños en toda su estructura."

Can anybody help with the correct English name for this type of gear assembly?

Thanks in advance...

tower shaft power gear
Explanation:
Hello Martin. "shaft tower" (eje de torre) is actually the gearbox shaft drive, but in some engines (such as Pratt & Whitney, as far as I know) is called the "tower shaft" because it is mounted vertically between the engine drive shaft and the gearbox (Do you know what type of engine this aircraft has?) For "engranaje de potencia" I dare say "power gear", but this one is only my shot in the dark.. let's wait other opinions.

Thanks, Melina! I opted for "thrust" as the translation for "potencia" here, as it is used with this meaning elsewhere in the text, but otherwise I went with your suggestion.
