Entre otras cosas, y como cosa curioso ese tèrmino poco se traduce, es màs conocido como "aircraft rating" y todo piloto sabe que es.

Explanation:
Un piloto privado (private pilot) normalmente requiere pasar una calificación en cada tipo de aeronave para tener la licencia para ser piloto de dicho tipo de aeronave. En algunos países solo requiere la diferencia de licencia para mono o bimotor (o turbina o propela) pero debe estar capacitado (aprobado) para pilotear una aeronave específica aunque tenga licencia para monomotor de propela (p.e. Cessna 150, 182, 206, etc.). Realmente es igual o similar para pilotos comerciales
