Here is the whole sentence

La empresa, que colocaría un bono por 250 millones de dólares, sabía de su difícil situación

It is about an airline that had its flights grounded. I understand from this sentence that the airline knew of its financial difficulties, but what does "colocar un bono" mean? Thanks!
