Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Aerospace / Aviation / Space / Flight controls | | Spanish term or phrase: botones inestables | In a document describing the buttons on the control panel for the AFCS (Automatic Fight Control System or "autopilot") on a helicopter, they use this phrase "Los botones son de tipo inestable"
I cannot find any useful translation of "inestable". It may simply be "unstable", but I doubt it. Has anyone got any ideas? |

AFCS panel switches are either comprised of toggle switches or pushbuttons. I´m not sure what they mean by "inestable". The toggle switches normally have two positiions (engage and off) and they are solenoid held in the engage position and automatically dissengage (go to the off position) when the AFCS system senses any problem. A picture would be ideal for seing exactly what type of switches (toggle type or pushbuttons) are used in this control panel. |
