Hi, I would appreciate your help with a few technical terms regarding ploughing and farming implements.
The guide is from a village in Spain (Castilla La Mancha), so some terms/implements might be specifically from there, but an English equivalent will do perfectly.
They are part of a guide and there isn't much context except for a line or 2 as they are just short explanations.
Its description: A small square piece of wood attached to a long curved metal handle.
Context is:
"El arte de trilla con tabla era hecho por los herreros de Tomelloso y se utilizaba en la era para mover la parva y facilitar la trilla en la siguiente pasada sobre la mies."
Explanation: This translation could be obtained simply by removing "arte". And filling the blank. I have never seen "arte" used in this way in Spanish, so it may be an error. Alternatively, it may have been written by a foreigner, or under foreign influence. Or, we may have discovered a genuine linguistic fossil. These assumptions are supported, to a degree, by two facts.

I have never seen this use of "arte" in Spanish, but perhaps it is just another linguistic fossil (like some others you have unearthed in this project)
For example, "Art" in the modern (as well as old) German is used in the sense "kind of":

What really sticks out from this sentence is that "el arte" (in the most common sense) no puede ser hecho por los herreros.
Now your job is to figure out what "trilla con tabla" is. You can tell from this sentence that this implement plays an auxiliary role: "para facilitar la trilla en la siguiente pasada". Now, that other trilla obviously is a threshing sledge, but not this enigmatic "trilla con tabla".
