Spanish term or phrase: Significado de "vaina" en Colombia
Hablando de amenazas territoriales que afectan a una zona de la selva amazónica, un texto enumera dos, siendo la primera amenaza:

-"la vaina de expansión de ganaderos de los colonos que están explotando mucho los bosques por la vaina de extensión ganadera"

Mi duda es el significado de la palabra "vaina". Si alguien la entiende en este contexto y teniendo en cuenta que la persona que la usa es colombiana y que se trata de una transcripción, agradecería mucho que me aclarase el significado.

Ok the closest I can think of is that Rolling stone frase "what a drag it is getting old" a Colombian or basically anybody from the caribean would say "que vaina hacerse viejo" or "Man, that cop busted me with my Jane! What a drag..." they would say "¡Pana, me agarraron con la Grifa! Que Vaina..." Vaina es una palabra comodín.
