No sé si existe este término en inglés.. ojalá me puedan ayudar. Creo que la palabra "participante" tiene más el sentido de "involvement" que "participatory"...

La Observación Participante (OP) consiste en la utilización de investigadores de campo que VIVEN por períodos de tiempo en las comunidades, llevando consigo los parámetros fundamentales de investigación, concentrándose en observar y describir dichos parámetros mientras van integrándose en la vida diaria de la comunidad.
