Navarrese men who made a fortune in the colonies and then returned home are described as being represented in the Spanish literature of the 17th and 18th centuries. Then there is a sentence that reads as follows:

This is what has come to mind - v much tied to the period and to the manners of that time. More technically, if you are in a v literary context, we do use "costumbrist" or "costumbrista" in English to speak of the Spanish take on the genre, but I prefer the original English term.
