Spanish term or phrase: conurbado
I'm not sure if this merely means urban, or perhaps suburban, or maybe "environs". I looked it up, even in the DRAE, and I can't find it anywhere to get a confirmation. TIA!

I know I'm not supposed to close a question so quickly, but I'm so embarrassed that I didn't recognize this as an anglicized word, that I'm going to give you the points right now and get myself out of here -- I looked in every dictionary but Merriam-Webster's! (That's a lesson!) THANKS!

Notes to answerer
Asker: Anita: Thanks for your help. I wanted to let you know that in Mexico, "conurbado, -a" is widely used (almost 200K hits on Google). But thanks anyway!
