I'm trying to finalize this book on Chichén Itzá and I'm losing my mind. I only now got the images (and only for one chapter). This is talking about El Osario, and I cannot figure out this phase. Thanks for any help you care to offer!

(sloping walls…) which are broken at intervals by projecting panels decorated with figures of ...
Explanation:
maybe 'panels' is the wrong word, but I didn't want to repeat 'walls' and couldn't think of anything else.

Thanks, Monica and Chriswa. My doubt here was really about the "a partir de" since it seemed an odd phrase to use if the panels are just interspersed on the talud itself. In the photos I have, none show carvings, so I'm at a loss, but I'll go with the answer since it seems to be close. Thanks for your help!
