Spanish to English translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Archaeology | | Spanish term or phrase: aparejo a soga y tizón | hello,
The text I need help with is a sign for an archaeological park, the text talks about an arab fortress and describes the architecture elements:
"En la parte inferior de la muralla que rodea a la alcazaba (zona superior de la
fortaleza) se observa en todo su perímetro el típico aparejo a soga y tizón de
época omeya."
The problem is "aparejo a soga y tizón", my frist attemp: "In the lower part of the walls that encloses the alcazaba (upper part of the fortress) a stretcher and header bond from Umayyad times can be seen around the whole of its perimeter"
What do you think? I got the terms from http://www.construmatica.com/construpedia/Aparejo_de_Soga_y_...
Any ideas on how to improve it are more than welcome.
Thanks for your expertise and time |
