I was wondering if you could help me with the translation of this expression - I do understand what it means but am at a loss as to how to render it into English.
This is the context:
El material de Rheidae del sitio Kamac Mayu corresponde a un fragmento de vértebra torácica (KM/H3/VER) y una epífisis distal de fémur (KM/H3/FEM). El material se encuentra depositado en la Facultad de Estudios del Patrimonio Cultural de la Universidad Internacional SEK-Chile. Este material fue presentado preliminarmente SIN ADSCRIPCIÓN, descripciones ni figuras por Martínez et al. (2009) y ambos especímenes presentan en su superficie un buen estado de conservación, aunque levemente erosionados en los bordes. La comparación de los restos fósiles fue realizado con materiales juveniles y adultos de Pterocnemia pennata pennata provenientes de la XI y XII Región de Chile y que forman parte de colecciones privadas y materiales de Pterocnemia pennata tarapacensis provenientes de la II la Segunda Región, además de un individuo adulto de P. p. pennata proveniente de la XI Región de Aysén. Como aproximación para el estudio de la edad del material fósil se utilizó la referencia de Tumarkin-Deratzian et al. (2006) la cual ha sido utilizado en trabajos similares. Las fotografías fueron tomadas mediante un Microscopio Electrónico de Barrido Jeol 5410© asociado al software Anamaker© para generar imágenes espectroscópicas. Este trabajo fue llevado a cabo en el Laboratorio de Microscopia Electrónica del Departamento de Ingeniería Metalurgia de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile. La muestra utilizada corresponde a un fragmento de metáfisis del fémur no mayor a los 3 mm y separado por factores postdepositacionales. El espécimen de comparación corresponde a un fragmento de la misma sección de un fémur de Pterocnemia pennata pennata juvenil de la XI Región de Aysén. Las medidas fueron tomadas siguiendo los criterios de von den Driesh (1999). Todas las medidas son expresadas en mm. |
