Does anyone know what these different 'planos' are in English (UK preferably)? Are "planos de alineaciones" alignment plans- I think I know what it means but am not sure what the correct term is in English (alineación> it means the line in which you can set up/erect a building... I believe).

Sorry, I kow this answer is too late to be of any real use, but I have only just come across this question and am interested in the answer.

I don't think we do things here in the same way they do in Spain. This is the main problem.

We have local development frameworks, and part of these frameworks include local development documents, which include development plan documents, which include site-specific allocations of land. That is why I think allocation would be a good way of translating calificaciones here, although there are also (precious few) hits on Google for "qualification of land".

I think alignment plans would be OK for the other one.

Site specific allocations and policies

2.15 Where land is allocated for specific uses (including mixed uses), this should be made in one or more development plan documents. The identification of sites should be founded on a robust and credible assessment of the suitability, availability and accessibility of land for particular uses or mix of uses.

2.16 Policies relating to the delivery of the site specific allocations, such as critical access requirements or broad design principles which may be sought, must be set out in a development plan document. They may be in the site allocation(s) development plan document(s), in an area action plan or in a separate development plan document. They should not form part of the core strategy. Where the policy requirement is set out for land allocated in a development plan document, greater policy detail may be included in a supplementary planning document, for example a development brief or design brief.
