Spanish term or phrase: gallón ... gajo
More from the silversmithing glossary:

Gallón. Motivo decorativo en forma de gajo.

According to the DRAE, a gallón is
Labor que adorna los boceles de algunos órdenes de arquitectura. Cada gallón consta de la cuarta parte de un huevo, puesta entre dos hojas que, siguiendo su misma forma, van adelgazándose hasta juntarse debajo.

I have no idea what that is called in English architectural lingo, and I also don't know how to translate "gajo" (segment?) in this context.

Thanks in advance for any help! ;-)

David: The .pdf was very helpful! I'm concerned that "egg and leaf" may be too specific (I can't imagine why the glossary would contain that, and not "fluting" or other similar things). So I'll leave this up to you if you want to entry it in the glossary. Thank you for your help!
