Spanish term or phrase: fachada lateral
La trama urbana de X se configura de forma irregular; un camino lo divide en dos grandes secciones y lo convierte en la columna vertebral del tejido. El centro está constituido por una pequeña plaza arbolada y por la parroquia, que tiene una fachada lateral; los comercios ambulantes callejeros giran en torno a éstas.

Street vendors stroll through the town's center with its small, tree-filled plaza and parish church [that has a lateral façade?].

Can someone help?

Notes to answerer
Asker: Yaotl, I appreciate your help, but the structure of my sentence seems different than the ones you're posting: manteniendo libres los arcos apuntados de fachada lateral. ¿No tiene casi todo edificio 4 facadas? frente, laterales, y trasero...

two front facades (see explanation)

Explanation:
Street vendors stroll around the town's center, which is comprised by a small green square and a church with two front facades.
(most likely due to the road dividing the urban mesh into two irregular sections)

I don't think the square "is bounded" 'only' by the side wall, and the translation, although quite different from the original, maintains the meaning more faithfully. It would be the same concept as "dos fachadas libres" in Spanish, although the literal translation into English has a different connotation, so talking about two front facades is just fine.

Best of luck!
