Clarification request(s) and response
Luis Javier Otoya: 8:19pm May 27, 2008: Is it "en planta" instead of "en plata"?
Patricia Rosas: 8:19pm May 27, 2008: plata? is it "planta"?
psicutrinius: 8:22pm May 27, 2008: Decidedly, typo "habemus". "En planta" means this, one floor. "en plata" means "in silver". Not even Warren Buffett can afford that, I am afraid...

a single-floor dwelling
Explanation:
Firstly it must be planta as everyone agrees. The only thing that the text says is that it is one floor, not that the building is although it could be. The dwelling, not necessarily an apartment however, is of only one floor. You can have plata piso 1, planta piso 2, etc. Doesn't seem like there is a very fixed definition from what I googled

Thanks. Yes, in the original text it said "plata", so must have been a typo.

a floor area

Explanation:
Assuming you're dealing with a typo and "Plata" should read "planta",then your text reads "...dwelling with a floor area of some 140m2..."

agree Kenneth Powers: Your answer is correct but badly frased, "en planta piso" is not "floor area", but the translation you put after is correct
