Hi LisaMac: As far as I can gather (this is the first time I recall coming across the term); copiña refers to the tiny embedded crustaceans in the stone which give it it's unique and aesthetic quality.

Asker: Hi Eski - thanks for info. Do you reckon 'copiña' is 'sandstone' then? And 'marés'? Or the 'marés' means 'Stratified fine-grained'?
