Spanish term or phrase: plantas primera y segunda
First and second floors or ground and first floors?

I believe first and second floors in the US are what in the UK are the ground and first floor. In Venezuela for instance, the ground floor is the Planta Baja. In a document from Spain, would these refer to the ground and first floors or the first and second floors???

Many thanks for your answer. Subsequent text in the document did in an indirect way suggest that the building only had a ground floor and a first floor, do I ended up with a Translator's Note indicating my doubt.

agree  xxxtazdog: planta baja is ground floor in Spain as well, so yes, first and second in UK
