Spanish term or phrase:cambio de tercio
This phrase, which I discovered has to do with bullfighting, is used metaphorically in this sentence, but I cannot figure out what it is trying to say:
Su cambio de tercio respecto al objeto y al concepto de exhibición se produce en 1967.
I was referring to your words emphatic, dramatic, shift. I meant to say that those words can be used for a bullfight change of act as they are used in operas, plays, concerts. But that's their only similarity. I hope I explained myself better this time.
As explained in this link, it is simply a shift...as when you move from one topic to another
"En el lenguaje coloquial usamos la expresión cambio de tercio cuando dejamos de ocuparnos de un asunto para pasar a otro".

Could we have some more context please? What comes before and after this?

Explanation: Yes, I was vaguely aware of the bullfighting origin - but it's a common enough expression in its figurative usage.

b) Segundo tercio where horses and banderillas: se pica el toro. (in order to stimulate his bravura).

There is three circles on the plaza, the closes you go to the center danger rices.
Regarding art it might be talking about to change of position regarding a point, the way you will have a different perspective.
