From photos I've seen in other sites, papel escenográfica (a term that seems to used almost exclusively in Argentina) appears to be heavy craft paper sold in rolls that is often used for children's murals and designs for theater backdrops. From the description below one could say "high quality" heavy kraft paper, but I've only seen "kraft paper" mentioned to describe works such as charcoal drawings on (kraft/brown paper). Sources:

Básicamente la diferencia es el tamaño, y con el misionero es que, éste, es bastante más grueso y, generalmente de color más oscuro.
