Spanish term or phrase: resultaba de las elevadas cotas () que vino a hacer eclosión
I apologize beforehand for splitting the sentence like this. I can only ask 5 questions and I need to finish this in a couple of hours. Same essay as last question:

Explanation:
The massive use of subordinates is typical in academic writing in Spanish and makes the phrase hard to digest. You have "cota" meaning number, grade or level which has a great repercussion on the notable work of the Muralists (trabajo insigne de los muralistas) and made its appearance in their work.

Eclosión could be translated as manifestation, sudden apparition, outbreak, rash, appearance

...herencia que resultaba de las elevadas cotas (que alcanzó el arte precolombino y) que vino a hacer eclosión con el trabajo insigne de los muralistas.

neutral  ormiston: your sentence starts off plural then becomes singular

-> Good point. I think the high levels (also in plural in the original) refers to what comes inside the brackets (reached by pre-Columbian art) not the subject of the sentence (heritage) which remains singular throughout the sentence.
