Spanish term or phrase: Masacarón
I could only think of a great "explosion" of foliage... but I know there is another word associated with a lot of it... aside from "jungle" :-)

ORIGINAL CONTEXT:
Su cuerpo se prolonga en una columna acanalada que da paso a una hoja de acanto rematada por sendas volutas, tras la que se sitúa en la nuca un gran masacarón de follajes.

Incidentally any advance on "back of the head" as a translation for "Nuca" ?

Thanks Jon... this is almost "instantaneous" answering. Great!

"Nape" I would have got if not so brain dead and as for "mascaron" the typo was in the original... which is what threw me. It should have been obvious... you know it's time for a break when these kinds of errors of thinking start setting in, eh?

Cheers:
