|Hi! This is a linguistics text about the use of polite/impolite language in political debates. The sentence I'm having trouble with goes:|
"...en un género abiertamente conflictual como el debate político, el comportamiento no marcado es, justamente, el descortés, y que éste inspira la mayor parte de la actividad interaccional."
Could anyone suggest a meaning for this "comportamiento no marcado"? Is is stg. to do with uncharacteristic behaviour, or am I completely off the mark?
