I have been searching for a good translation but I am not having any luck!

color scheme? color range?

a single chromatic range
Explanation:
It's a technical term and essentially means "colour" (chromos); to be distinguished, however, from "tonal range" in which the mixture or dilution is effected with black or white, or "saturation range" in which colour intensity is referred to. (Non-painters will barely perceive the differences.)
