Explanation:
Hola, como hispanohablante, no creo que la mañanita sea una parte de la mañana.

En todo caso, deja entrever un nivel de lenguaje, acaso más coloquial, acaso más tierno.

Aunque bien podría decirle a mi jefe que "nos reunimos por el contrato el jueves a la mañanita". De la misma manera usamos la tardecita...

No siento que acote un segmento de la mañana.

Es una expresión que se escucha más en el interior de la Argentina (no sé de otros países) pero que cubre toda la mañana, hasta donde sé o siento.

PD: Mañanita se llama un chal tejido que se ponen las abuelas (aunque se lo pueden dejar puesto todo el día).

Las Mañanitas es, además, una ranchera hermosa...

Explanation:
No se porqué algunas personas han sugerido que la respuesta debe incluir a la palabra sol: "Early morning sun". Si es que si a mi me dicen: "salimos por la mañanita" eso significa que salimos antes de que salga el sol, tipo 5:00 am. Si salimos cuando ya ha salido el sol, ya es la mañana. Temprano en la mañana, pero ya no es la mañanita.
