Very few of these external sun visor where ever produced. Rumor has it that this GMC truck sun visor is almost very simular to the Pontiac sun visor since they where both produced at the same plant. It is still a mistery as to exactly what year this visor was introduced. Since GM produced the Chevrolet sun visor, part number 986877, was not introduced until 1953. In 1954, the Chevrolet sun visor, part number 986936, changed to accommodate the one-piece windshield.
According to some accessory manuals, this GMC visor was available in 1951 but is still unknown as to the exact year. This illustration suggests otherwise, which was taken from an accessory manual. Since this truck has no vent windows & has pull-down door handles, which suggests that this visor may have been available in the late 40's.

Espero que esto sea y que hubiésemos estado equivocados. Por lo menos el precio parece un tanto más adecuado.
Espero que te ayude.
I agree that this is probably a misspelling. My problem is the price of the spare-$519.00- surely too much for a cab sun visor. Could this be the metal sun shield that trucks sometimes put outside and over their windscreens?
Explanation: visera (con v)

But is the one that all cars (and trucks) have on the interior top part for driver and front passenger and that you pull down for sun protection.

The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to.
The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability.
Mouseover your name at the top of the screen. Here you will find information about your account, your email settings, and more. The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together.
