Explanation:
Automotive clutches are operated by a bearing (the thrust bearing) mounted on a fork.
The two refs explain it in Spanish and in English, although I can't find a bilingual source. I have changed a few!

Explanation:
Automotive clutches are operated by a bearing (the thrust bearing) mounted on a fork.

agree  pclews: "Thrust bearing", absolutely right (my father had a garage, ie, a car repair shop, not a place to park cars).

  -> Thanks. My father worked in one! And taught me how to change them.
agree  bigedsenior: the clutch/thrust bearing is mounted on the tranny input shaft. the fork is the Clutch Fork.
