Spanish term or phrase: millardos
Los activos gestionados ... suman 30 de 11 millardos de Euros.

From a description of the services of an investment banking firm.

Is this "thousand millions", which would be "billions" in the U.S.?

If so, I get something like "There are 30 managed assets, worth 11 thousand million [billion] Euros."

Correct me, please.

agree  Jack Doughty: This use of "billion" is now OK in UK too. Up to about 40 years ago a billion in the UK was 1,000,000,000,000 but now it's the same as in the USA.
