remit dividends (abroad); remittance of dividends

Terms and expressions used for corporate and taxation purposes. A company usually remits dividends upon payment of corporate tax and other liabilities (i.e. employees profit sharing, etc).

Although the expression "payment of dividends" may be used it is not accurate; "remittance" is the exact translation of "remesa" and "to remit" of "remesar".

"To remit" is "to transfer" or "to send" or "to deliver".

I am lawyer and hold a Doctorate in Jurisprudence.
In my capacity as tax manager I use the expression "remittance of dividends" on a permanent basis.

Yes, I do agree with the explanations provided above, inasmuch as the petition implies that the dividends of some of the controlled corporations should be remitted, this is, sent, without including them in the consolidated balance sheet.

Good Luck!....
