contingencies Explanation: From Barron's "business keys" series "Keys to Reading an Annual Report": Contingency: situation wehre a company stands to gain or lose because of a past transaction or event. The amount of gain or loss will be determined by a later transaction or event. Thus [for example]a lawsuit creates a continecy; the amount of gain or loss is dependent on a later event, the judgment. Hope this helps. |

Contingency funds Explanation: Although I found the following, I think in this particular context it means "contingency funds". However, to be sure of your context, please read the following, to see if it helps. CONTINGENTE: QUOTA. Source: Lozano Irueste, Dic. de Economía y Empresa. QUOTA: A limit on the import or export of a particular product imposed by a government and usually controlled by the issue of licences. Source: Dic. of Business. OXFORD. Another definition, "cantidad máxima de una mercancía que se permite importar o exportar en el mercado nacional". Source: Dic. Commercial. Académie des sciences commerciales. |

assets...depositors' funds/private deposits*...total deposits.. Explanation: * del público would mean private in the sense of 'not company' In Co. Balance Sheets there is frequently an item called Contingency Funds which is really a provision for some possible major payout (whether real -e.g. a pending lawsuit- or simply a question of being prepared, of this I'm not sure). Patrimonio is best translated as Net Worth. Hope this is what you want. |
