Taña, the phrase is in French and we all understand it, and I have never studied French in my whole life :-) Let's suppose that it is in another language, Chinese, or even Russian. Would you do the same? Would you translate it? It is a document and we cannot guess what it means and we are not supposed to translate it unless we are translators of that language. It is not allowed in my country as I explained it before and if the document has to be notarized this would be rejected. That is the way I have to work here. I don't know what happens in other countries.

With all due respect, but I am not sure that I understand María Angélica's (Argentina) objection to translating the term to Spanish (Convenio de La Haya de 5 de octubre de 1961). I do not see anything given the original context that "it is in a document, an apostille", and "should, therefore, remain in the original language." The United Nations has six official languages, among them Spanish, and in all their documents the Spanish translation is "Convenio de La Haya". See: http://www.un.org/ga/ropga_lang.shtml

Hola de nuevo, Solo queria añadir que en español tambien he encontrado muchas entradas para "Convenio de la Haya de La Haya de 5 de Octubre de 1961", y lo quiero añadir como una alternativa, en caso de que el texto se refiere al acuerdo.
