Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Business/Commerce (general)
Spanish term or phrase: Memoria
Hi,

I would appreciate you help. I'm not including context as it would be the whole file, but it is basically referring to a company document which explains what the company is about and its history from day 1. Would Background be the technical name in this field?

Thanks :)

agree  Fiona Hale: I wondered if it was the Memorandum (of Association), but that wouldn't give history. I think Company History is better.

prospectus

Explanation:
As our colleagues have noted, 'memoria' usually refers to some sort of 'report'; at least a notation/memorandum. My suggested 'prospectus' is actually a marketing tool that usually includes the company's 'history', in the main. But it often gives some financial figures to indicate the companys stability, etc, to prospective clients, so your source writer may have used 'memoria' for this concept, reflexively.
For what it's worth in case its of some help ...
Best of luck to All!
