Business/Commerce (general) | | Spanish term or phrase: reintegro de capital | Would appreciate your help with this. I was thinking that perhaps "capital infusion" could work.
Definition:
"El reintegro de capital es el acto por el cual los socios vuelven a aportar un importe igual o distinto a lo antes aportado, a prorrata de las acciones que poseen, sin recibir a cambio de dichos aportes, nuevas acciones. Lo que se pretende con el reintegro, es aumentar el patrimonio afectado por pérdidas con el fin de restablecer su equilibrio con el capital.
Damos un ejemplo. Una sociedad tiene un capital integrado de $ 2.000.000 y pérdidas acumuladas por $ 1.500.000. Ante tal situación, la asamblea extraordinaria resuelve el reintegro del capital. Los socios aportan, entonces, dinero o bienes por $ 1.500.000 que ingresan al activo con débito al rubro de Pérdidas y Ganancias. En los estados contables, seguirá figurando en las cuentas patrimoniales el capital integrado por $ 2.000.000 y desaparecerá el rubro de pérdidas acumuladas."
