Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general) / impuestos
Spanish term or phrase: Tasa General de Inmuebles (TGI)
¡Hola!

disagree  AllegroTrans: the problem is, it's not UK and you cannot just "convert" it like this, the 2 systems are completely different

agree  James A. Walsh: There's no real context, but if it was my translation, I'd say "Municipal Taxes (equivalent to UK Council Tax)" like that.

The Rates

Explanation:
Rates are a type of property tax system in the United Kingdom, and in places with systems deriving from the British one, the proceeds of which are used to fund local government. Some other countries have taxes with a more or less comparable role, for example France's taxe d'habitation.

Example sentence(s):
  • Rates are collected by local councils.

neutral  AllegroTrans: historical I am afraid, local tax is no longer called "rates" - this was replaced by Council Tax many years ago
