Spanish term or phrase: queda facultado para el desempeño de las funciones
Buenos días:

Traducción al inglés británico sobre un curso.

La frase completa es:"XXX queda facultado para el desempeño de las funciones de nivel superior al haber realizado con aprovechamiento el Curso de Especialidad de Higiene Industrial"

Se me ocurría decir: "XXX is entitled to work as an Advanced Technician after completing the course..."

Espero vuestras sugerencias. Muchas gracias.

will be qualified to carry out duties (or operations if related more to machinery) at a high level
Explanation:
If, as you indicate, the sentence refers to a course, then I would suggest the word "qualified" here. I would also change the verb structure in British English to make it sound more natural/more in keeping with this kind of terminology.

You could incorporate the "Superior" part in two ways:
1) in the title of the course as you suggest here; "the Advanced Course in XXX
2) in the second clause as I suggest in the example sentence "at an advanced level"

Perhaps the best option might be to go for option two and put, instead of Advanced, "on completion of the Specialised Course in XXX (this would stay closer to the source terms I think).

Notes to answerer
Asker: Una pregunta Julie, si sigo tu traducción "On successful completion of the XXXX course, XXX will be qualified to carry out duties at an advanced level". Sería: "On succesful completion of the Advanced XXX course..." Es para no dejarme atrás lo de Superior. ¿Sería así verdad? Gracias.
