Explanation:
You could say "human resources" or "personnel" (and I hereby submit those as alternative answers!), but I think they've deliberately chosen this as a trendy-sounding job title. Otherwise they would say "recursos humanos".

  -> a) That doesn't mean it's wrong, (b) the Spanish doesn't get many hits either, so it's obviously unusual, and (c) "people manager" gets 800,000 hits.
