Spanish term or phrase: OCR
Hello everyone,
This appears on a University diploma from Perú and I'm not sure what the acronym stands for. It appears followed by 5-digit a number.
Thank you!

English translation:central (student) record office / central registry
Explanation:
OCR stands for "Oficina Central de Registro". In the UK, the equivalent office (where student records are kept) is often called the "Registry"; in North America, I think "Record Office" might work better.

"Entiéndase como egresado PUCP a quien haya completado el plan de estudios de una carrera profesional y como graduado PUCP a quien haya obtenido un grado académico, debidamente registrado en la Oficina Central de Registro (OCR) de la PUCP [Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú]"

Here's an academic record from the PUCP, with "Registro OCR" as one of the fields:

"Grados y Títulos
OJEDA CUYA, WILFREDO ANTONIO
Grado: Bachiller en Ciencias con mención en Ingeniería Industrial
Etapa: PREGRADO EN FACULTAD
Tipo Obtención: AUTOMATICO
Registro OCR: 43192"

"Office of Student Records" is another way of putting it (eg. University of Manitoba in Canada). Or "Student Records Department". Really any of these expressions would be OK, I think.
