Spanish to English translations [PRO] Science - Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng / Fertilizers | | Spanish term or phrase: Abonos minerales con elementos principales (lÃquidos) | My question is what "liquid" refers to: is it the "elementos principales" or the "abonos minerales" which are liquid?
"Que conforme a la legislación española (artÃculo 3 de la Orden de 28 de mayo de 1998 sobre fertilizantes y afines, BOE de 2 de junio de 1998), atendiendo a su contenido y riquezas, dicho fertilizante puede denominarse ABONO CE, al estar incluido en el Anejo I, apartado 2 Abonos minerales con elementos principales (lÃquidos) de dicha Orden Ministerial"
Thanks. |
| | | mineral fertilisers with major nutrients (liquid) | Explanation: Liquid definitely refers to the fertilisers, not the "elementos". This can be deduced from looking at the details of the classification (you will see they are all solutions), but in fact the "elementos principales" are the "major nutrients" required in a complete fertiliser, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K).

Where you place the word \"liquid\" is up to you. I suppose that those reading this legislation will know enough about the area for it to be obvious, so I would stick with the form I proposed - placing \"liquid\" after \"fertilisers\" to make it clearer is what might be required for a non-expert readership. I don\'t imagine many non-experts will be reading this! |
