Tech/Engineering - Computers: Software | | Spanish term or phrase: ALQUILER DE USO DE APLICACION | Por lo que me han explicado, NO es lo mismo un "alquiler de uso" de un software que una "licencia de software". He aquí la diferencia:
"Licencia de software/servidor" = compras los derechos de todo el software de una vez y ya eres el propietario del mismo. El software está alojado pues en el servidor propio de la empresa que lo ha comprado.
"alquiler de uso" = se alquila el uso de la aplicación informática mediante la fórmula ASP (Application Service Provider). Esto significa que se paga una cuota mensual por el alquiler de la licencia y el software está alojado en el servidor de la empresa vendedora. La empresa compradora accede a este software a través de internet.
Y mi pregunta es cómo se dice "alquiler de uso" en inglés, ya que la otra fórmula sería "software license", ¿no?
