Spanish term or phrase: "fijaciones del mástil"
The following is a problematic sentence for me:

I have translated it "fijaciones" as "clamps/mounts" and "mástil" as "pole." Is this appropriate?

Also, would "cubierta" simple be "cover"?

This is my translation:

There will be a separation of no more than a 700 mm between the mounts/clamps attaching the pole to walls or between construction components which protrude from the cover.

agree  Robin Levey: Cierto! - And from Micaela's other questions it is clear that cubierta refers to a roof.
