Spanish term or phrase: órganos de cierre
"En las válvulas de retención deberán desmontarse los órganos de cierre (clapetas, pistones, etc) a cargo del Contratista." In a technical document about tanks for a biodiesel plant. I think it could be either gate valves or stop taps according to my research, any thoughts please?

closing mechanisms
Explanation:
I would leave this rather genetic here, for the term itself is and does not specify the exact parts.

agree  eski: I think you're right about it being used more generically here, Margaret, since the text implies that it encompasses several elements.
